Twitter™

From version 10.219 onwards the HomeSecurity™ Orb can send Tweets.

You can learn more and obtain a Twitter account here: http://www.twitter.com

The name and password is entered into the Channels notecard within the HS Orb.

Once the login information is entered and the Twitter account is created the HS Orb will send tweets for each new visitor when they arrive and leave and also when it goes online and offline.

Use a unique Twitter account for each HS Orb because Twitter has a limit on updates per time period.

The Twitter login is NOT sent securely. DO NOT USE A SENSITIVE PASSWORD OR A SENSITIVE ACCOUNT NAME!

The Twitter servers may change at any time making Orb tweets fail. More...

You may want to protect your tweets so strangers cannot watch your place via Twitter.
Login to Twitter with the HS Orbs account and go to: Settings / Accounts / Protect my tweets

The notecard should look something like this:
